Makhana, or fox nuts, have been a staple of Ayurvedic medicine and Indian fasting rituals for centuries. But for too long, they were confined to traditional preparations. We saw an opportunity to take this incredibly healthy, protein-rich seed and give it a modern, incredibly delicious spin.

Our journey began in 2023, partnering directly with farmers in Bihar—the makhana capital of the world. By cutting out middlemen, we ensure fair trade pricing for the growers and peak freshness for you.

Hand-Harvested, Slow-Roasted

Every seed is hand-harvested from water lily ponds, sun-dried, and then carefully popped. Instead of frying, we slow-roast our makhana with a touch of olive oil and coat them in our proprietary spice blends.
